At the aerosol arena, which was hosting the „meeting of styles“ on a yearly basis, I continued my work with metal production. This one presented a little challenge. A mix of nice weather and lunatic notion on my part resulted in my decision to commute to the project area by bicycle.
Compression is the key word!
And so i pre cut the metal parts in my very own studio, placed them together with tools,paint and a welding machine in a bicycle trailer and lugged this package of about 90 kg solely with the strength of my upper thighs. As I arrived, I was glad to find some scrap metal to merge into the sculpture. I was really fond of the big round form on the left which was supposed to be a chimney. It was placed on a wall that was barely painted because of the protruding parts. To me it was perfect!
My work fit this wall because I was able to use these ledges as a platform for the sculpture.
